Nishat's research interests include the politics and representation of migratory spaces, geo-politics and alternative architectural practice. She is co-author of, Spatial Agency (Routledge, 2011) and co-editor of Trans-Local-Act (aaa-peprav, 2011). Nishat has also worked in architectural practice for a number of years including with muf architecture/art. She joined TU Berlin in December 2010.
