On August 31, Prof. Dr. Heiland, together with
Danny Püschel, NABU, presented an appeal for a climate- and
nature-friendly lifestyle and economy to Sylvia Kotting-Uhl MdB,
Chairwoman of the Committee for the Environment, Nature Conservation
and Nuclear Safety in the German Bundestag. In the petition, 191
initial signatories call on policymakers to create a framework that
enables and promotes an energy- and resource-saving lifestyle and
economy. At the same time, they declare their willingness to support
corresponding political decisions and to align their own everyday
lives as far as possible with energy- and resource-saving
The appeal can be signed on the Internet , on the one hand to make clear to politicians the urgency of change, and on the other hand to signal to them broad social support for the necessary forward-looking decisions.
